Our Firm is pleased to announce a new member in our team, Mr. Marcelo Ureña, who is an experienced foreign trade advisor. With this professional, we strengthen our staff, in the interested to offer to our clients a wider set of services to help them in business results even further.
Mr. Marcelo Ureña worked in the Dominican Customs office for 20 years, gaining a vast experience in foreign trade and customs procedures. He was member of the team that led the Customs Automation Project together with a very important Korean company.
To import or export to and from Dominican Republic is easy, however there are many risks associated to international transactions (Purchases and sales), e.g. over payments for incorrect product classification, bad customs clearance, improper import or export documentation, post clearance audit process conducted by the customs agency and other risks.

Ragh & Asociados was among 20 global members attending IAPA’s US Regional Conference, held in Miami, 19-21 May. Ragh & Asociados is a member of IAPA, a top 10 international association of independent accounting and business advisory firms with some190 member firms in 65 locations.
The annual event predominantly connected IAPA’s North American based accounting and business advisory firms, however attracted members from around the world to exchange views on the latest developments in the international trading environment, to share valuable methods of best practice and to discuss best ways for IAPA to strengthen and develop in North America.
